The short answer
FxPro is a regulated broker, but not in the UAE. Its companies are licensed in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, the Bahamas and the Seychelles. None holds a licence from the UAE Capital Market Authority, the DFSA or the FSRA. A UAE resident who opens an FxPro account is a client of an overseas FxPro company.

FxPro’s regulated companies
| Company | Regulator | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| FxPro UK Limited | Financial Conduct Authority (UK) | 509956 |
| FxPro Financial Services Ltd | Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission | 078/07 |
| FxPro Global Markets Ltd | Securities Commission of the Bahamas | SIA-F184 |
| Invemonde Trading Ltd, with FxPro Global Markets | Financial Services Authority, Seychelles | SD120 |
Which of these companies would hold your account depends on your country of residence, and the client agreement you accept at sign-up names it. Read that page before you continue: the company decides your leverage limits, complaint routes and any compensation scheme.
The DFSA licence that was withdrawn
FxPro did have a presence in Dubai’s financial free zone. Its company FxPro Global Markets MENA Limited was authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority under reference F003333 from October 2017. The DFSA public register lists that authorisation as withdrawn on 27 February 2020. Some review sites still list a DFSA licence for FxPro; they are out of date.
Who regulates forex in the UAE
- Capital Market Authority (CMA), the federal regulator for the mainland. It replaced the Securities and Commodities Authority on 1 January 2026 under the 2025 capital-market decree-laws.
- Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for firms in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
- Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) for firms in Abu Dhabi Global Market.
What this means for you
- UAE regulators do not supervise your FxPro account, and UAE complaint routes do not apply to it.
- The UK compensation scheme (FSCS) covers eligible clients of FxPro UK Limited only, not clients of the offshore companies.
- FxPro says client money is kept in segregated accounts and that all clients get negative balance protection, so you cannot lose more than you deposit.
- Whether and how you may use an overseas broker from the UAE is your responsibility to check. We cannot give legal advice.
How to check for yourself
- At sign-up, note the company named in the client agreement.
- Search that company’s name or reference on its regulator’s public register.
- For any broker that claims a UAE licence, search the DFSA, FSRA or CMA register directly, not a review site.
- Keep a copy of the agreement you accepted.
