How the FxPro Wallet works

At FxPro all money moves through the FxPro Wallet. You deposit into the Wallet (or straight into a trading account, which still passes through it), then move money between the Wallet and your trading accounts instantly. Money left in the Wallet is not exposed to market risk, which makes it a simple way to keep spare funds away from open positions.

Deposits and withdrawals pass through the FxPro Wallet between your bank or card and your trading account
Deposits and withdrawals both pass through the FxPro Wallet.

Depositing, step by step

  1. Log in to FxPro Direct with your email and password.
  2. Open the Wallet section and choose Deposit.
  3. Pick a method from the list FxPro shows for your country.
  4. Enter the amount and the payment details, then confirm on screen; card payments use 3-D Secure.
  5. Once confirmed, the money appears in your Wallet or the trading account you chose.

FxPro asks you to verify your account before you deposit. Pay only from accounts and cards in your own name.

Dirhams and currency conversion

FxPro does not list AED among its currencies. When you send dirhams from a UAE bank or card, your bank converts them, usually to US dollars. The dirham is pegged at 3.6725 to the dollar, but banks add their own margin, so compare your bank’s rate and fees before a large transfer. If your Wallet and trading account use different currencies, FxPro converts between them when you move money.

Withdrawals

Move the money from your trading account back to the Wallet, then request a withdrawal there. FxPro processes withdrawals 24 hours a day, five days a week; its finance team works Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 16:00 UTC, which is 11:00 to 20:00 in the UAE.

  • Refund to source. FxPro returns funds to the method they came from first, following anti-money-laundering rules.
  • Card limit. You can usually withdraw to a card only up to the amount you deposited with it over the last six months or year, depending on the card processor. Profits above that go by another method in your name, such as a bank transfer.
  • Open positions. Leave enough margin in the trading account for any positions you keep open.

Fees

  • FxPro says it charges no deposit or withdrawal fees.
  • Your bank and any correspondent bank may charge for international transfers.
  • E-wallet withdrawals may carry a fee if the account has not traded.

Before you send money

  • Your account is verified.
  • The card or bank account is in your own name.
  • You know your bank’s exchange rate for AED to USD.
  • You keep the payment receipt until the money shows in the Wallet.
